How does this work?

We pull published cruise ship schedules daily — ship names, passenger capacity, arrival and departure times, and which BVI port they're visiting. Then we estimate hourly crowd levels at The Baths, White Bay, and Cane Garden Bay throughout each day.

The Baths gets cruise traffic from ships at Spanish Town (Virgin Gorda) sending passengers directly, ships at Road Town (Tortola) selling Baths excursions via ferry, and occasionally from ships anchored in North Sound/Gorda Sound — though that's relatively minor. White Bay gets hit when ships anchor at Jost Van Dyke. Cane Garden Bay is on Tortola and a short taxi ride from the cruise ship terminal in Road Town, so any time there are large ships in town it's likely to be busy.

These are estimates based on published schedules and ship capacity. Real crowd levels depend on weather, excursion bookings, and actual occupancy. Use this as a planning tool — check the hourly bars and aim for green windows.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the BVI cruise ship schedule today?

No cruise ships are scheduled today (April 23, 2026). This schedule is pulled daily from the BVI Ports Authority and cruise line published itineraries.

What cruise ports are in the BVI?

The British Virgin Islands have cruise ship activity at four anchorages: Road Town (Tortola) is the main pier; Spanish Town and Gorda Sound (Virgin Gorda) host tender calls; and Jost Van Dyke receives small-ship anchor calls.

Does BVI Ports Authority publish the cruise ship schedule?

Yes — BVI Ports Authority publishes the official arrival schedule. This site pulls that schedule daily and overlays beach-specific crowd forecasts based on ship capacity and typical excursion patterns.

What time do cruise ships arrive in the BVI?

Most cruise ships arrive at Road Town between 7am and 9am and depart between 4pm and 6pm. Crowds at beaches like The Baths and Cane Garden Bay peak between 10am and 2pm.

Are there cruise ships in Tortola tomorrow?

Check the 7-day schedule above. The next-day and week-ahead views show every scheduled ship by port.
